Bentham Country Club operates the largest indoor 5-a-side League in Europe with over 220 teams playing Sunday through to Thursday. There are two seasons each year, Summer & Winter. Application Forms are available before each Season and must be returned completed by the closing date. At any time of the year, teams interested in joining the Leagues should contact Bentham Country Club on 01452 864157 to leave details ready for mailing when the next Season's Application Forms are available. Teams may also be placed on a "Reserve List" in the event that a vacancy arises during the current Season.
Once the closing date for Applications has expired each Season, applications are processed. Successful applicants will receive a telephone call with the time of their first match. A fixture list will then be available for collection. Fixtures, results and league table standings are updated regularly and are available on this website.
What is the Structure of the Leagues?
There are two Rounds to each Season, Qualification Round and Final Round. At the start of each season, teams are seeded and placed into appropriate Divisions. New teams who are an unknown entity, enter the mid Divisions. Teams play each other once within their Qualifying Division. Based on the final league tables of the Qualification Round, teams are promoted or relegated accordingly ready for the Final Round.
League Formats may vary depending on night of play. As a rule of thumb, a League consisting of Divisions of 8 teams will see the top 2 go up, bottom two go down. Divisions of 10 will see the top 3 go up and bottom 3 go down. With Leagues of 12, it is the top 4 and bottom 4 that make up promotion/relegation.
In the Final Round, Teams will play each other team in their Division twice if Divisions of 8 or once if Divisions of 12. Subject to how the calnedar falls, Divisions of 10 will see a Final Round of either once or twice playing each other.
Please note that there is not a Qualification Round for the 7-A-Side League. Teams play each other twice throughout the Season.

- Kick off times vary each week from 6.15 - 9.45 (Mon-Thu) & 5.00 - 9.10 (Sun)
- No maximum squad size (n.b. all players must be registered)
- Unlimited substitutions
- Indoors & heated - no playing in the rain or in the freezing cold.
- Shower facilities
- Full bar with Sky Sports channels
Unfortunately, I missed the closing date, what should I do?
Teams that miss the deadline should contact Bentham Country Club and leave details for our "Reserve List". Alternatively, download an Application Form above and return to us (without any payment). If a team drops out or is withdrawn from the League, we then approach teams on our list to offer them the vacant slot. If we cannot accommodate your team, you can always hire a court for a friendly or to keep up with your practice, just don't forget to return an Application Form for the next Season!

* Block Bookings must be the same time on the same day each week for a minimum of 10 weeks. VAT is not applicable when these conditions are met.

Sunday - 10am to 11pm
Monday to Friday - 9.30am to 11.30pm (10pm Fridays)
Saturday 9.30am - 6.30pm (Private Functions Only In Evening)
How Do I Make A Booking?
We welcome bookings for our facilities from existing league members, individuals, clubs or associations or groups of friends. Ideal for training/practice sessions, company/corporate events.

Casual Bookings
Casual bookings may be made either in person or by telephone, during office opening hours. The courts can be booked by telephoning 01452 864157 or visiting the club during office hours.
You will be asked for a contact name and telephone number.
Payment is required prior to commencement of Booking either by Cash, Cheque, Credit or Debit Card.
Block Bookings/ Multiple Bookings
You will need to complete a 'Booking Form' and adhere to the relevant Terms and Conditions.

VAT is not applicable for Block Bookings of not less than 10 consecutive weeks. VAT, however, will be chargeable if the Block Booking drops below 10 weeks over the stated period. To qualify for this rate, the same day & time needs to be honoured for the duration of the 10 week booking. These terms are as per VAT legislation.
The Organiser (Client) may opt to be invoiced.
Tournaments
Tournaments make a great day out for Companies, Clubs, Incentives and Special Occasions.
We have Staff specifically dedicated to organising Tournaments who will recommend a format that best meets your requirements. Referees, Trophies and Catering can also be arranged.
Call 01452 864157 to discuss your requirements, we will then send you a Booking Form / Conditions Of Hire. A deposit is normally required for Tournaments.
The Client
The Client is the person named on the "Booking Form". They will be solely responsible for ensuring that their group/club/association comply with the Terms and Conditions of hire. The Client is responsible for ensuring that persons (including spectators) will conduct themselves in a safe and appropriate manner.
How Do I Get To Bentham Country Club?
Exit the M5 at Junction 11A. Proceed along the A417 to Cirencester for approx 0.75 mile (stay in the left hand lane) and turn off at the first exit. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit and proceed along the road for approx 0.5 mile. You will come to a roundabout with a Shell Garage and Cross Hands Pub. Take the first exit and follow the road for approx 1 mile. The road narrows into a country lane (don't panic you are still going the right way!). The entrance to Bentham Country Club will be approx 125 yards on your left. There is free parking for 150+ cars.
NB - Locals may prefer to use the country lanes off the Shurdington Road to access Bentham Country Club. The above directions, however, are considered more suitbale for non local patrons.
