On Saturday 4th February, from 11am until 4.30pm, we will have representatives from NHS Gloucestershire offering free Chlamydia testing for those aged 24 and under. All those who do a test on the day will be given 3 glow in the dark condoms. Testing for Chlamydia is painless and free. Results are confidential. If treatment is needed, prescriptions are free. Chlamydia can cause infertility and arthritis in men and women. The effects are irreversible and most men and women have no symptoms. Testing should be undertaken annually or after a new sexual partner.

The two 'domes' offer facilities for Indoor 5-a-Side & 7-a-side football, netball, tennis and hockey. Local clubs & associations hire the facilities for training purposes throughout the year. From youth football clubs to majorette groups, the venue is complimented with adequate car parking and licensed bar. Amongst others, Bentham is the home venue for the Gloucestershire County Netball Assosciation. Bentham Country Club is probably best known for their popular Indoor Football Leagues operating Sunday through to Thursday throughout the year. In the summer an indoor hockey league also takes place. As well as a lounge bar, the facility has a Function Room which plays host to many events including; conferences, wedding receptions and celebration events. Clubs & associations also use the Function Room for activities such as martial arts training and for hosting their AGM's and commitee meetings. Each school holiday, a children's playscheme operates. Registered with Ofsted, a range of activities including sport and arts & crafts feature in themed 'play days' (more).
